My Little Valentine!

Valentine's Day is just around the corner! So, I decided to make a heart appliqued onesie for my baby girl.  That way she can dress up for the occasion.  I am loving the appliques!  What I like about them is I can create shirts and outfits for my son and my daughter.

Birthday Outfits!

I have also been busy making birthday outfits for some very special little girls!  The first outfit is the Sunshine Dress done in a different fabric.  Here is what it looks like!

The fabric I used for this dress is not longer in stock, but I can make it in any fabric/color scheme you want.

The other birthday outfit I made was a tutu with an appliqued onesie.  It turned out so cute!  The tutu is a ribbon waist tutu that ties in the front or back, whichever you prefer.

Piper Pants with Appliqued Onesie

I decided that I was having way too much fun creating dresses for my darling girl, and I thought that I better tackle some pants.  Spring is around the corner after all and she needs some warmer weather threads.  I am so happy with the way these pants turned out.  They are a wide bottom pant with a detachable bow!  Just take a look at this little number!

Aren't they so, so cute?  Then I thought that she needed a little something to go with her new pants.  So, I took one of her little onesies and appliqued a flower on the front!

Now she has a complete outfit!  If only spring would arrive a little faster!

Lucy Lou Dress

This week I was feeling a little ambitious.  So, I thought that I would learn a new sewing trick; shirring.  Little did I know that my zealousness would lead me on a roller coaster of a day.  There I was with my pretty little dress all made with the only thing left to do is shirr the neckline and sleeves.  Ahh, I was envisioning perfection...

Burst!!!

That's right, my bubble burst the minute I attempted this technique.  That's right it took me an agonizing 5 hours, one phone call to Brother (my sewing machine manufacturer--thank you sweet old lady), two YouTube videos, my book Complete Guide to Sewing, and yes, some tears for me to be able to shirr my dress. 

Note: NO DRESSES WERE HARMED IN LEARNING THIS TECHNIQUE.

After much trial and error, I am proud to present my Lucy Lou dress!!!

Tutu Cute!

I saw a picture of a tutu that I thought was so precious and cute.  Since I was feeling overly ambitious I thought that I would try to recreate the tutu.  While the project was not as easy as I thought it was going to be, the final product was incredibly cute!  Take a look at this little number:

You may not know this yet, but my family simply loves Disney!  My baby girl is going to wear this when we go there this spring!  Isn't it cute?

The Warmth of Sunshine

With the abundant amount of snow and cold weather we have received this winter, I thought that I needed a little warmth and sunshine.  So, I thought that I would get started on my spring collection.  The first dress in this collection is a darling little number I call "Sunshine."

This dress is a double layer dress with an over skirt and an underskirt.  The straps are knotted in order for your precious little darling to get more years of wear out of this dress.  However, if you would prefer buttons, I can easily attach them.
